As one chapter of my life ends it causes me reflect on what I have learned and experienced. The Beacon, Palm Beach Atlantic Universities student run newspaper, has been a HUGE part of my life for the last three years. I was a part of the yearbook staff in high school, my freshman year of college and the spring semester of my sophomore year of college. Needless to day I was ready for some sort of change. As a sophomore, I joined the newspaper staff during my fall semester as the Photo Editor. As I began to work as part of the Beacon staff, all I really wanted to do was take photos and gain experience. I figured working for the newspaper would look good on a resume. Little did I know how impacting my experience would be.
As I journeyed forward and took on the role of Photo Editor my photography, leadership, delegation and creative skills were cultivated. During these past three years, I came to the realization I could make a living doing what I loved. Working for the Beacon was one way I realized that I could become a professional photographer. I admit at times I struggled. I wasn’t sure what avenue of photography I wanted to pursue, but I knew that I wanted to capture moments in time through my camera. I daily desire and strive to photograph timeless images that will be treasured forever. Below is a look back at the four cover photos I shot for the Beacon this past spring semester.

Thank you to all the staff members and editors I worked with throughout the years. Also, thank you to everyone who encouraged, criticized and supported me. A special thank you to this years editor team: John Sizemore, Chris Hernandez, Cash W. Lambert, Charlotte Wynne, Joshua Reid, Kayla Viaud and Rocky DeCell. You all have become like a second family to me. It was truly an amazing year getting to know and further my relationships with all of you. Always stay inspired!
Love,
Christina

This sweet couple exudes love and joy. This intimate shoot took place on the north end of Palm Beach on a peaceful afternoon. Throughout this shoot we all laughed and enjoyed the beach before sunset. Brian and Lea relaxed while I had the honor of capturing some incredibly personal and unforgettable moments. Their love for each other and cheerful attitude made my job easy. I am literally counting down the days till their wedding in June. Thank you Brian and Lea for trusting and letting me capture your love! xoxo
